The Clemson Tigers have received an update on a four-star linebacker they are recruiting.

The Clemson Tigers have made it into the final three teams for four-star linebacker Sean Fox. Fox has narrowed his list down to Clemson, Georgia, and Kentucky and will make his decision on June 25th.

Fox has played at a high level over the last two seasons at Warren Central. In 2024, Fox finished with 105 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, three sacks, and six PBU's. He played well in 2025, as he had 91 tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, five sacks, three PBU's, and three forced fumbles.

He would be a major addition for the Tigers' 2027 class, which ranks 11th by 247 Sports.

Dabo Swinney and Clemson have been aggressive in recruiting to bolster the talent of future rosters after a disappointing 2025 campaign.

The Tigers went 7-6, missing out on the College Football Playoff despite entering the season with championship expectations.

That led Swinney to make bold changes, including firing offensive coordinator Garrett Riley and bringing in Chad Morris, who previously held the role from 2011 to 2014.

He also hired Rich Bisaccia as the special teams coordinator and added 11 players in the transfer portal.

However, with all of these changes, the success of the season will hinge on the production from the quarterback position. The Tigers no longer have three-year starter Cade Klubnik at the helm as the New York Jets selected him in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Clemson is likely turning to junior Christopher Vizzina at quarterback, but also has true freshman Tait Reynolds as an option.

Vizzina hasn't played much for the Tigers, as he's completed 64 of 105 passes (61 percent) for 596 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception while rushing for 109 yards and a touchdown.

Reynolds has not played at the collegiate level, but has more upside than Vizzina. It will be a difficult decision for Swinney to make, as it could determine how successful Clemson is in 2026.

Regardless of how the 2026 season plays out, the Tigers should be hopeful for the future, as they've put together a great 2027 class that could get stronger if Fox commits to the program.
