The Clemson Tigers had a disappointing 2025 season, but cornerback Avieon Terrell was one of the few bright spots.
Terrell is one of the best cornerbacks in the upcoming draft after a great season with Clemson.
In Daniel Jeremiah's mock draft, he has Terrell landing with the Philadelphia Eagles with the 23rd overall pick.
Terrell would form an elite cornerback trio with Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell in Philadelphia. The Eagles already bolster one of the best defenses in the league, and adding Terrell would make that unit even more talented.
Terrell has the versatility to play on the outside or inside, making him a fit for many teams.
However, there is still plenty of time before the draft, with the NFL Combine and Pro Days yet to come, leaving time to move up or down the draft board.

Terrell was also impressive in his sophomore campaign in 2024, as he had 58 total tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, a sack, three forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, 12 pass deflections, and two interceptions.
He was a key piece for Clemson's defense, and they will miss his production. Unfortunately for the Tigers, they wasted his final season, going just 7-6, and losing their final game to Penn State in the Pinstripe Bowl.
Clemson entered the 2025 season with lofty expectations, as they were expected to make it back to the College Football Playoff and compete for a National Championship.
They fell way short of those goals and didn't even make it to the ACC Title Game. As Dabo Swinney and the Tigers lose players like Terrell to the NFL Draft, it makes the 2026 season even more challenging.
Swinney was more aggressive in the transfer portal than usual, but it is still a tall task ahead.
Terrell capitalizes on back-to-back impressive seasons and will likely be a first-round pick and one of the first cornerbacks off the board in the 2026 NFL Draft.
