This Clemson Tigers star has a perfect landing spot in the NFL Draft.
It has been a wild ride for Clemson Tigers defensive tackle Peter Woods.
Woods entered 2025 viewed as a potential top-five pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, but watched his stock slide significantly thanks to a down season.
Now, Woods is viewed as a late first-rounder or an early second-round selection and is considered one of the most polarizing prospects in this year's class.
Some still view Woods as an elite talent, while others feel that using an early pick on him would be far too risky.
But there is no doubting Woods' explosive talent, and thanks to a recent blockbuster trade that just occurred on the NFL landscape, a new ideal landing spot may have just surfaced for the 21-year-old: the New York Giants.
The Giants just dealt Dexter Lawrence — a Clemson legend — to the Cincinnati Bengals in exchange for the 10th overall pick in the draft, opening an absolutely gaping hole on the interior for New York.
Enter Woods, who could play a significant role in patching it up.

You also have to think that interest has spiked now that Lawrence is officially gone.
Of course, New York won't be selecting Woods with either of its top-10 picks (the Giants also own the fifth overall selection). But it's possible that the Giants could trade down to nab him, or they can hope he falls to them at No. 37.
Yes, there will be plenty of other defensive tackles available in this class. Caleb Banks, Kayden McDonald, Lee Hunter and Christen Miller are all names to watch for Big Blue. But none of them have quite the same ceiling as Woods.
Woods' draft stock skyrocketed following his tremendous performance in 2024. That player didn't just disappear. He's still there. He may just need a better situation to bring it out of him following a depressing campaign all around at Clemson.
The Giants would be able to hand Woods a starting job right from the jump, and he would be playing for a very well-respected head coach in John Harbaugh.
Look to hear Woods' name linked to New York as we get closer and closer to the NFL Draft, which begins this Thursday.
