Clemson Tigers cornerback Avieon Terrell definitely helped himself at the NFL Scouting Combine, showing tremendous quickness and athleticism during on-field drills on Friday.
The same concerns for Terrell remain. Some are worried about his size, at he stands 5-foot-11 and weighs in at 186 pounds which, in today's game, could mean that the Clemson star is bound for the slot.
However, Terrell is a unique prospect with incredible tenacity and physicality and appears driven to hang with genuine No. 1 receivers on the professional level.
In fact, Dave Helman of The Athletic feels that Terrell is the perfect fit for the Dallas Cowboys in the first round of the NFL Draft, especially with the Cowboys owning a pair of first-round selections at Nos. 12 and 20.
Whether or not Dallas would take him as high as No. 12 remains to be seen, because it's entirely possible that Terrell comes off the board before No. 20.
The 21-year-old is coming off of an impressive 2025 campaign in which he registered 48 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, five forced fumbles and nine passes defended.

The fact that Terrell was able to post those numbers demonstrates just how ferocious he can be on the field, and NFL teams have certainly taken notice.
Dallas could absolutely use another cornerback, so it would make sense for the Cowboys to consider a corner with one of their two Day 1 picks.
LSU's Mansoor Delane and Tennessee's Jermod McCoy are two other candidates who could go within the first 20 picks, but Delane is a bit unimpressive physically, and McCoy did not play at all in 2025 due to a torn ACL.
Taking those things into consideration, Terrell could very well end up being the top cornerback in this year's draft class, so it would not be the least bit surprising if Dallas decided to pluck him early on this April.
Terrell is one of several Clemson defensive players who could be first-round picks, but his stock seems to be rising the fastest of them all.
