This Clemson Tigers star is being predicted to freefall in the NFL Draft.

The Clemson Tigers will be placing a handful of players in the NFL Draft this spring, and many of them are projected to fly off the board over the first couple of rounds.

Defensive tackle Peter Woods, cornerback Avieon Terrell and edge rusher T.J. Parker are all expected to be first-round picks (Parker is a bit more borderline), and wide receiver Antonio Williams is generally being viewed as a Day 2 selection.

However, T.J. Randall of Pro Football Network's thoughts on Williams are a bit different, as he has the star playmaker falling all the way to the middle of the fourth round. More specifically, Randall has Williams going to the New England Patriots at No. 125.

To be fair, Williams had a disappointing season in 2025, catching 55 passes for 604 yards and four touchdowns. That followed a 2024 campaign in which he hauled in 75 receptions for 904 yards and 11 scores.

The 21-year-old actually entered this past season viewed by many as a potential first-round talent, but like most of the rest of Clemson's roster, he had an underwhelming showing which caused his stock to dip.

But the general consensus has still been that Williams will be selected at some point within the first three rounds this April.

Williams arrived at Clemson in 2022 and made an immediate impact, snaring 56 balls for 604 yards while reaching the end zone four times. Injuries limited him to just five games in 2023 before his breakout campaign the following season.

This is a very deep wide receiver draft class, so Williams will certainly have to battle for draft position this spring. A strong Scouting Combine next month would do wonders for his status and could ultimately vault him into the second round.

Meanwhile, the Patriots would comprise a rather interesting landing spot for Williams. They already have Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, DeMario Douglas and Mack Hollins at wide receiver, and they took Kyle Williams in the third round last year.

Would Williams actually be able to carve out any playing time in Foxborough?

There are plenty of other more receiver-needy teams that would represent better destinations for Williams.
