This Clemson Tigers star is being projected to join an NFL Super Bowl contender.

The Clemson Tigers have a handful of players that should heart their names called over the first couple of days of the NFL Draft next month, and some of them should fly off the board in the first round.

Cornerback Avieon Terrell, for example, is generally viewed as a first-round pick, with some even feeling he could develop into the best corner in this year's draft class.

In a recent seven-round mock draft, ESPN's Matt Miller predicted Terrell to land with the Kansas City Chiefs at No. 29, giving the Chiefs the opportunity to repair a secondary that took some big hits this offseason.

"The Chiefs have a history of drafting and developing cornerbacks, just to watch them leave," Miller wrote. "This offseason, Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson departed for the Rams via trade and free agency, respectively. The McDuffie deal got Kansas City this pick, which it could use on Terrell."

Miller really seems to like Terrell's versatility.

"The younger brother of Falcons' cornerback A.J. Terrell Jr. is similar to McDuffie in his ability to play inside or outside," Miller added. "Avieon Terrell had three interceptions at Clemson while allowing only 4.4 yards per attempt when targeted by opposing quarterbacks."

The biggest concern regarding Terrell is his size, as he stands just 5-foot-11 and weighs 186 pounds. That could make defending on the outside regularly difficult.

However, Terrell makes up for his lack of size with sheer tenacity.

The Atlanta native racked up 48 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, five forced fumbles and nine passes defended during his final collegiate campaign.

In fact, Terrell accumulated eight forced fumbles over his last two years at Clemson, which would be incredible even for a linebacker; let alone a cornerback.

Terrell didn't have the best showing at the NFL Scouting Combine, but his production with the Tigers speaks for itself, as does his tremendous motor.

The Chiefs are in dire need of a cornerback at the moment, so Terrell would definitely comprise a great fit in Kansas City.

Perhaps the 21-year-old can assist the Chiefs in regaining their status as top Super Bowl contenders after a miserable 2025 campaign.
