This Clemson Tigers wide receiver has sent an exciting message to the fanbase.

The Clemson Tigers were one of the most disappointing teams in college football last season, going 7-6 and losing to Penn State in the Pinstripe Bowl in spite of entering the campaign with national championship expectations.

Based on the the fact that Clemson lost many of its best players this offseason, things aren't looking too great for the squad heading into 2026, either.

However, there might be some hope.

One of the primary reasons for optimism is a star-studded freshman wide receiver class that includes a trio of four-star prospects in Naeem Burroughs, Gordon Sellars and Connor Salmin.

Of the three, Burroughs is generating the most buzz, and he could very well end up being a significant part of the Tigers' offense as soon as the season opener.

As for Burroughs? Let's just say he has pretty lofty goals for himself and has told the fans what they can expect during a recent episode of the 2 Right Turns podcast.

“Explosive, playmaking, exciting,” Burroughs said. “I feel like every time you sit in the stands, and you’re coming to watch me play, you’re going to get a show out of me.”

Burroughs is the 14th-ranked receiver and the 96th-ranked player overall in the class of 2026, via 247 Sports' composite rankings.

The Jacksonville, Fl. product received offers from schools such as Florida, Indiana, Notre Dame, Ohio State Ole Miss, Texas and Texas A&M, but chose Clemson.

Considering the Tigers have not been experiencing a ton of luck on the recruiting trail in recent years (Clemson did not land a single five-star talent in 2026 and has yet to do so for the class of 2027, either), Burroughs was a huge get.

Of course, Burroughs can't do it all alone.

The Tigers have major questions at the quarterback position, and their defense suffered significant loss this spring with names like Peter Woods, Avieon Terrell, T.J. Parker, DeMonte Capehart and Wade Woodaz all heading to the NFL.

On the bright side, Clemson has some fine returning talent, and perhaps Burroughs and the other incoming wide outs can help give the fans something to smile about next fall.
