Now former Clemson Tigers quarterback Cade Klubnik has already been asked an annoying question after being drafted by the New York Jets.

Clemson Tigers quarterback Cade Klubnik now has an NFL home, as he was selected by the New York Jets in the fourth round of the NFL Draft.

The Jets actually traded up 18 spots to No. 110 to nab Klubnik, so clearly, the quarterback-starved franchise liked what they saw.

Klubnik was interviewed virtually not long after being selected, and right on cue, he was asked what exactly happened in 2025 and why things didn't "click" for him.

The 22-year-old then shut down the question in the most respectful way possible ... while still laying down the law.

"I think it was just a lot of little things that were kind of going wrong, but honestly, I don't really want to get into that, to be honest," Klubnik said. "I'm just celebrating being a Jet now, if that's all right with you."

Klubnik threw for 2,943 yards, 16 touchdowns and six interceptions while completing 65.6 percent of his passes this past season, rushing for 94 yards and four scores.

Those numbers paled in comparison to Klubnik's breakout 2024 campaign, when he finished with 3,639 yards, 36 touchdowns and six picks through the air while also racking up 463 yards and seven scores on the ground.

Klubnik's draft stock plummeted as a result, but he's leaving that in the past.

"But I'm thankful for this past year," Klubnik added. "It wasn't how I wanted to go out, but I'm thankful for it because I learned how to really attack adversity."

Had Klubnik entered the draft after 2024, he almost certainly would have been a first-round pick, and some had him pegged as a potential No. 1 overall selection heading into his final season at Clemson.

As the Austin, Tx. native noted, things did not exactly go according to plan for him, but the same can be said for the Tigers as a whole, who went just 7-6 in spite of entering the campaign with national championship aspirations.

The good news for Klubnik is that he will have a chance to start during his rookie season. The Jets acquire Geno Smith via trade earlier this offseason, but he is by no means guaranteed to hold the starting job all year long.

In fact, Klubnik may have a chance to stake his claim as New York's franchise quarterback, so this is certainly a great opportunity for the ex-Clemson star.
