Clemson Tigers star wide receiver TJ Moore has earned a major draft take.

Clemson Tigers star wide receiver TJ Moore is entering an important season for the future of his football career.

In Dane Brugler of The Athletic's early 2027 NFL Mock Draft, he has Moore landing with the Los Angeles Chargers with the 28th overall pick.

Moore has been a quality contributor to the Tigers' offense over his first two seasons. In his freshman campaign, Moore hauled in 45 receptions for 651 yards and five touchdowns.

He followed that up by being more impactful in the 2025 season, finishing with 52 receptions for 837 yards and four touchdowns.

Moore is a physical receiver at six-foot-three and could take another jump in 2026. The 20-year-old could establish himself as one of the best wideouts in the nation if he puts together a great season.

However, he will have to adapt to the changes that are coming to Clemson's offense. Head coach Dabo Swinney fired offensive coordinator Garrett Riley at the end of the 2025 season and brought in Chad Morris to replace him.

Morris previously served as the Tigers' offensive coordinator from 2011 to 2014. With his return, the offensive system will change, which could change Moore's production.

The other factor is the quarterback position, as Cade Klubnik was selected by the New York Jets in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft.

Klubnik had a great career with the Tigers, completing 64 percent of his passes for 10,123 yards, 73 touchdowns, and 24 interceptions across 49 games. He also rushed for 878 yards and 17 touchdowns on 369 carries.

With Klubnik on the way out, Swinney will likely turn to Christopher Vizzina as the starting quarterback for next season.

Vizzina appeared in five games for Clemson in the 2025 season, completing 45 of 71 passes (63.1 percent) for 406 yards, four touchdowns, and an interception. He added 41 yards on the ground on 25 attempts.

It is pivotal for Vizzina and Moore to establish chemistry for the Tigers' offense to be successful. That would also help Moore boost his draft stock for the 2027 NFL Draft, where he could be one of the first receivers off the board.
