Another game, another reminder that the Duke Blue Devils are built like a team with real March intentions.

Duke went into Blacksburg and took care of Virginia Tech Hokies 72–58, moving to 20–1 overall and 9–0 in the ACC. That’s the entire first half of the conference slate — unbeaten. No drama at the top of the standings. Just business.

The Blue Devils never trailed. Not once. They came out sharp, dictated tempo, and built a lead that always felt sturdy, even when things tightened in the second half.

Virginia Tech made its push, cut it to six, and got the building loud. But every time it felt like momentum might swing, Duke answered like a veteran team that’s been there before — even though much of this roster is still young.

That’s where Cam Boozer keeps changing the conversation. He was the best player on the floor — poised, efficient, and completely unfazed. When Tech made its run, Boozer responded with grown-man buckets and calm decision-making.

Cam Boozer finished with 24 points and went 9 of 12 from the field. That made today his 13th 20 + point game of the season.

Duke’s defense deserves love too. The Hokies had life midway through the second half, but down the stretch they ran into a wall. Contested shots, one-and-done possessions, and no clean looks from deep when they needed them most. That’s winning basketball on the road in the ACC.

Duke has really handled it's business in the last four games. Not playing with it's food or struggling with a team in the first half. Definitive, no BS wins. Even today when Virginia Tech made a few runs where they had chances to threaten Duke, the Devils kept the Hokies out of reach.

Now zoom out: Duke has won 31 of its last 32 ACC games. That’s not a hot streak — that’s sustained control of the league.

That's a testament to Jon Scheyer and the job he's done stepping into the shoes of the greatest of all time, Coach K.

Scheyer has continued on with the tradition that Coach K built at Duke, but has also put his own new spin on things, especially with the changes that have come with the NIL era.

Duke hosts Boston College on Tuesday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
