Former Duke basketball star Cameron Boozer is projected to go top three in the latest ESPN 2026 NBA mock draft.

Cameron Boozer lands in top three of ESPN mock draft

The 2026 NBA Draft lottery is officially in the books as we have the order for more than half the picks in June's draft. The Washington Wizards came out on top of the lottery, getting No. 1 overall followed by the Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies and then the Chicago Bulls who surprisingly moved up.

With the consensus being that A.J. Dybantsa will be the top pick and then Darryn Peterson likely going second, that leaves Cam Boozer and Caleb Wilson.

There's been debate on which of those two players will go first with reports even suggesting that some general managers prefer Wilson. However, we don't know exactly which general managers that is.

For the Grizzlies, they are in a spot to land a premier talent like Wilson or Boozer. And in ESPN's latest mock draft, they give the edge to Boozer.

Cam Boozer mocked to Memphis Grizzlies

As soon as the draft lottery wrapped up, ESPN's Jeremy Woo put out his latest mock draft. He has Boozer going third to the Grizzlies.

Here is what Woo had to say:

Memphis had just a 9.4% chance of landing this pick and should be thrilled with the opportunity to add an elite prospect to its young roster. The Grizzlies seemingly pivoted into a full tank after trading away Jaren Jackson Jr. at the deadline, losing 21 of their final 23 games, which paid off with a favorable draft position. While Ja Morant's future with the team remains unresolved, an eventual trade would be the final step of a full teardown, with Memphis positioned to keep building through the draft over the next few years. Whomever the Grizzlies select will give the team a new face for the future. Boozer's NBA-ready offensive game and ultrareliable production would slot in neatly with the Grizzlies' personnel.

Boozer lived up to lofty expectations this season, cleaning up player of the year awards and nearly leading Duke to the Final Four, largely carrying the team all season. He has the makings of a foundational, tone-setting player, and while his limited vertical lift might cap some of his upside at some point, it's hard to argue with the results.

There's a long way to go before June's draft as players will have workouts and meetings with prospects, so things obviously could change.

But even if Boozer fell past third, he would still go top four as the Bulls would be foolish to pass on him as well. The former Duke product is in a great spot here and should hear his name called very early.
