Duke Blue Devils star Cameron Boozer will be one of the top picks in the upcoming draft.

Duke Blue Devils star Cameron Boozer is having an incredible freshman season and has established himself as one of the top prospects in the upcoming 2026 NBA Draft.

In 26 games this season, Boozer is averaging 22.8 points, 10 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.7 steals per game. He is shooting an efficient 58.2 percent from the field and 39.4 percent from three.

Boozer is expected to be one of the top three picks in the draft, competing with Darryn Peterson and AJ Dybantsa to be the first selection.

In ClutchPoints' latest NBA Mock Draft, they have Boozer going to the Atlanta Hawks with the third overall pick.

The Hawks own one of the top picks in the draft as they acquired the New Orleans unprotected first-round pick in the Derik Queen trade in the 2025 NBA Draft.

This gives Atlanta the chance to add one of the premier players in the draft, like Boozer.

The Hawks are in the midst of retooling their roster, as they moved Trae Young to the Washington Wizards ahead of the trade deadline. Atlanta is building around All-Star forward Jalen Johnson, along with quality surrounding pieces in Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Dyson Daniels, and others.

Adding in Boozer would give them another core player to build around, making them a potential contender in the Eastern Conference over the next few seasons.

He would fit well with Johnson, who is having a breakout campaign, averaging 23.3 points per game along with 10.6 rebounds, 8.2 assists, and 1.3 steals. The 24-year-old forward is shooting 50.2 percent from the field and 35.3 percent from behind the arc.

Johnson also went to Duke, creating a potential Blue Devils frontcourt on the Hawks. He was productive in his one season at Duke, averaging 11.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game. He shot 52.3 percent from the floor and 44.4 percent from deep.

Johnson and Boozer are talented scorers and rebounders and would instantly become one of the best frontcourts in the Eastern Conference.

Boozer will look to continue bolstering his draft stock this season, and the Hawks will hope to land a top-three pick in the lottery to create an elite frontcourt featuring two former Blue Devils stars.
