The Duke Basketball program has released its non-conference schedule for the 2026-27 college basketball season.
The Duke Blue Devils are getting set to enter the fifth year of the Jon Scheyer era, and the excitement is still very high for this upcoming season.
With how Duke's season ended a year ago, the Blue Devils cant wait to get back on the court and try to get back to the Final Four. Under Scheyer, Duke has been to the Elite Eight three times but has only made the Final Four once, blowing a lead to Houston.
As we get set for the start of the upcoming season, Duke has released it's non-conference schedule. And it's a loaded slate.
This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone as Scheyer has often put together a tough non-conference slate. The idea is to challenge his team early in the season with games against good opponents to prepare them for postseason play. With the ACC having down years recently, it's only helped the Blue Devils.
Take a look at the full non-conference slate below:
- Nov. 2: vs. Army (Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC)
- Nov. 5: vs. Coastal Carolina (Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC)
- Nov. 10: vs. Michigan State (State Farm Champions Classic, United Center, Chicago, IL)
- Nov. 13: vs. SIU Edwardsville (Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC)
- Nov. 17: vs. Illinois (Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC)
- Nov. 21: vs. Washington State (Palm Desert, CA)
- Nov. 25: vs. UConn (Harry A. Gampel Pavilion, Mansfield, CT)
- Dec. 1: at Florida (ACC/SEC Challenge, Gainesville, FL)
- Dec. 4: vs. Harvard (Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC)
- Dec. 8: vs. Georgia (Jimmy V Classic, Madison Square Garden, New York, NY)
- Dec. 15: vs. Campbell (Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC)
- Dec. 17: vs. Grambling State (Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC)
- Dec. 21: vs. Texas Tech (New York, NY)
- Feb. 20: vs. Gonzaga (Cameron Indoor Stadium, Durham, NC)
The schedule for Duke looks tough as it includes two Final Four teams from last season in UConn and Illinois. The Blue Devils were supposed to play a game against Michigan but due to the Amazon deal, the game was scraped.
An early look at this schedule has a few teams that should be ranked in the top 25 including potential preseason favorite Florida.
For Scheyer and his team, this is going to be a fun but challenging non-conference schedule.
