Duke forward Dame Sarr went viral for his announcement
Duke forward Dame Sarr isn't going anywhere.
On Friday, Sarr announced that he's coming back for his second season in Durham.
Sarr appeared in 38 games this past season. He averaged 6.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 40.4% from the field, 32.3% from beyond the arc and 53.2% from the free-throw line.
Duke lost to UConn in the Elite 8. Sarr, Cayden Boozer, Patrick Ngongba II and Caleb Foster will return next season for Jon Scheyer's club.
Sarr will likely maintain his spot in the starting lineup for his sophomore year, splitting time with Bryson Howard and Sebastian Wilkins. It reinforces the Blue Devils' continuity that is so crucial for a late run in March.
Duke hasn't won the NCAA championship since the 2014-15 season. It will be fascinating to see if the program reaches the promised land in the Scheyer era.
