Duke guard Caleb Foster went viral for his announcement
Duke point guard Caleb Foster is officially coming back to Durham for his senior season.
The Blue Devils confirmed Foster's return in a Wednesday post on social media that went viral.
Foster appeared in 33 games for Duke this past season. He averaged 8.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 44.7% from the field, 39.8% from beyond the arc and 58.2% from the free-throw line.
Foster suffered a fractured right foot on March 7 but returned to the lineup 20 days later, helping lead the Blue Devils to a comeback Sweet 16 win while playing limited minutes against St. John's.
"It was incredible the way he willed us," Duke coach Jon Scheyer said after his team's Sweet 16 win, per WRAL's Brian Murphy. "There's no analytics. There are not stats that can measure how big this dude's heart is for what he did."
Duke lost to UConn in the Elite 8. Cayden Boozer will be back next season alongside Foster. So will Patrick Ngongba II.
Foster has been at Duke since 2023. He has career averages of 6.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
