The Duke Blue Devils have officially received a commitment from Kager Knueppel, the brother of Kon.

Jon Scheyer and the Duke Blue Devils have been in hot pursuit of the brother of one of their former stars. Of course, that player is none other than Kager Knueppel, who is the brother of Kon Knueppel.

The older Knueppel, who broke out as a rising star in his rookie season with the Charlotte Hornets, put together a strong lone season with Duke back in the 2024-25 campaign.

On Monday night, the Blue Devils finally got the news they were hoping to receive.

According to a report from Joe Tipton of On3 Sports, Duke has landed a commitment from Kager Knueppel.

"Kager Knueppel, the younger brother of Kon Knueppel, has committed to Duke, he announced," Tipton reported on X. "

The 6-10 small forward is ranked as a top-50 recruit in the 2027 class."

Standing in at 6-foot-10, Kager is much bigger than his brother. He will play a much different game than his brother, but the same big-time potential is there.

Recently, the younger Knueppel spoke out about the difference between his game and his brother.

“I’m different (than Kon Knueppel) because I’m longer and taller,” he said. “So that’s obviously helped me a little bit, but then I can also get the blocks on defense, and I can shoot as well, so that’s good.”

247 Sports currently has Knueppel listed as a four-star prospect in the 2027 recruiting class. He is also ranked as the No. 28 overall player in the nation and the No. 5 power forward in the country.

Scheyer has continued to be one of the best recruiting head coaches in the nation. Landing Knueppel will be a big step in the right direction towards having one of the country's best recruiting classes for 2027.

Duke had to beat out a few other high-profile college basketball programs to land his commitment. Among the other notable schools to pursue Knueppel were the Purdue Boilermakers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Arkansas Razorbacks.

Needless to say, this is a big win for the Blue Devils. Knueppel following in his brothers footsteps will be entertaining to watch, although he will bring a much different dynamic to the court.
