Witnessing Michigan vs. Duke could cost thousands. Secure your seats for this elite basketball showdown before prices climb even higher.

Duke-Michigan Tickets Are Getting Crazy Expensive

No. 1 Michigan and No. 3 Duke are set to travel to play at Capital One Arena for a much-hyped contest at a neutral site in Washington, D.C. on Saturday.

The game between the Wolverines and Blue Devils could be a preview of a Final Four matchup in the NCAA Tournament later this year.

Michigan is 25-1, its only loss coming to Wisconsin in a 91-88 contest on Jan. 10. Duke's losses came against Texas Tech and North Carolina.

Tickets aren't going to be cheap for one of the most anticipated matchups of the college basketball regular season.

Per FanSided, some tickets are as pricey as $11,971.

"As of this writing, a quick look on StubHub and other ticket outlets shows that the cheapest price to get in is $382," Braulio Perez wrote. "Not only that, there are some seats that are going for as much as $11,971. Wait, what?!

"Capital One Arena is going to be back, but the fact that tickets are so expensive is pretty wild. In section 121, there are currently two seats available for $3,770."

The arena holds 20,356 fans.

Expect a tournament-like atmosphere.

Michigan head coach Dusty May is treating Saturday's game like the NCAA Tournament.

"We're going to treat it like an NCAA format where this is a first-round opponent or Sweet 16 opponent or hopefully a Final Four opponent," May said, via 247Sports. You have a couple days to learn someone that you're typically unfamiliar with.

"Obviously the magnitude of Duke is you're never unfamiliar with Duke. … It's an opportunity for us to take a recess mentally from Big Ten play, maybe give us some things to work on, but also learn something new and prepare like we would for an NCAA Tournament meaningful game."

Cable will certainly be cheaper than buying a ticket to watch the game. The contest will start at 6:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on ESPN.

The game could be important for both programs before the NCAA Tournament. The winner has a better argument to become a No. 1 seed.

The loser would certainly have more work to do before March Madness.
