Duke Blue Devils star Cameron Boozer is putting together an impressive freshman season. Boozer is one of the best players in the country and is well on his way to being a top pick in the 2026 NBA Draft.
In a recent mock draft, Boozer lands with the Atlanta Hawks with the third overall pick.
The Hawks will hold one of the top picks in the draft, as they have the New Orleans Pelicans' first-round pick via the Derik Queen trade in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Boozer would join a promising roster that includes All-Star Jalen Johnson, Nickeil Alexander-Walker, Dyson Daniels, and more. The Hawks are already a solid team, as they are 26-30 and in 10th place in the Eastern Conference.
Boozer would add more size and efficient scoring, creating many versatile lineups to put on the floor. In 25 games this season, Boozer is averaging 22.8 points per game along with 9.9 rebounds, four assists, and 1.8 steals. He is shooting 57.5 percent from the field and 38.8 percent from three.
Boozer is one of the top three prospects in the draft, battling with Darryn Peterson and AJ Dybantsa to be the top pick.
All three of the prospects are incredibly talented and could be a number one pick if they were in separate draft classes.
Boozer is an NBA-ready prospect and would fit well on a team like the Hawks.
For now, he will look to finish out his freshman season with a deep run with Duke. The Blue Devils hold a 23-2 record and are the fourth-ranked team in the country.
Duke made it to the Final Four last season but fell to Houston in a heartbreaking loss. They will look to bounce back in the tournament in 2026 with Boozer leading the way.
Winning it all and having a strong performance would boost Boozers' draft stock even more and give the Blue Devils their first title since 2015.
Regardless, Boozer is one of the top players in the upcoming draft, and a team like the Hawks would highly benefit from adding him to their core.
