Duke star Cameron Boozer on the Brooklyn Nets would be fun.

Cameron Boozer will be one of the top picks in the 2026 NBA Draft, and in ESPN's latest mock draft, the Brooklyn Nets land the Duke star.

ESPN has the Nets taking Boozer with the third overall pick.

"While Duke fell just short of a Final Four berth, Boozer lived up to his lofty expectations, cleaning up player of the year awards and proving one of the most dependable freshman stars ever. He has the makings of a foundational, tone-setting player, and while his limited vertical lift might cap some of his upside, at some point, it's hard to argue with the results he has gotten. Boozer is a longer shot at No. 1, but teams largely feel comfortable with the production they're going to get from him.

"Brooklyn has a lot riding on this lottery, as it continues to look for a young franchise player to anchor the team and doesn't have control of its 2027 first, which is owed to Houston. Boozer is the safest choice on the board in that respect, as the Nets try to accelerate the competitive timeline of a young roster."

Boozer was the top player in college basketball this past season, which is why he won the Player of the Year Award. The forward averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game while shooting 55.6% from the field, 39.1% from beyond the arc and 78.9% from the free-throw line.

While Boozer is humble, he believes he should be the first pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. The youngster told Mark Medina of EssentiallySports the following: "There are a lot of great candidates, for sure. Some of them are here. But what I think separates me is my competitiveness and my winning. It’s my willingness to do whatever it takes to win."

Wherever Boozer lands, he will likely flourish. After all, he's the son of two-time NBA All-Star Carlos Boozer.

Former Duke star Cooper Flagg was the first pick in the 2025 draft by the Dallas Mavericks. Boozer could be the first pick in this year's draft. We have to wait until the 2026 draft lottery to see who has the first pick.
