Isaiah Evans playing with former Duke star Jalen Johnson on the Atlanta Hawks would be cool to see.

ESPN's latest NBA mock draft has Duke star Isaiah Evans going to the Atlanta Hawks.

ESPN has the Hawks taking Evans with the 23rd overall pick in the 2026 draft.

"Evans has the makings of a quality wing shooter, with good positional size and the ability to hit tough shots off movement. He took a leap this season with an expanded role at Duke and has starter-level upside if he can be more consistent. He needs to better apply his tools defensively but displayed some growth on that end this season.

"Adding more perimeter shooting would be beneficial for the Hawks as they continue to build around the rising Jalen Johnson. They don't have a clear positional need beyond adding a long-term point guard -- something they might be able to do in the lottery -- and can consider several directions with this second pick."

Evans appeared in 38 games for Duke this season. He averaged 15.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 43.3% from the field, 36.1% from beyond the arc and 86.0% from the free-throw line.

Evans finished his Duke career with averages of 11.0 points, 2.2 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. He played in 74 games.

The Hawks are currently led by former Duke star Jalen Johnson. It would be neat to see Evans become teammates with Johnson in Atlanta.

Duke lost to UConn in the Elite 8 this year. Dame Sarr, Cayden Boozer, Patrick Ngongba II and Caleb Foster will return next season for Jon Scheyer's club.

Duke hasn't won the NCAA championship since the 2014-15 season. It will be fascinating to see if the program reaches the promised land in the Scheyer era.
