There will be a lot of chatter about where Cameron Boozer might end up in the 2026 NBA Draft. Boozer was undoubtedly the best freshman in the country during the 2025-26 college basketball season, but that doesn't necessarily mean he'll be the first overall pick.

Boozer will have to continue doing what's needed in pre-draft workouts, though his play at Duke spoke for itself.

Predicting where he might end up, it seems likely that Boozer will go within the first five picks of the draft. There is also a very high likelihood that he'll be one of the first three picks, and the latest prediction saw that happen. He was predicted to be selected No. 2 overall by the Indiana Pacers.

“Duke freshman Cameron Boozer was dominant during his first NCAA season, earning national collegiate player of the year honors. According to NBA insider Jake Fischer, rival teams believe Boozer would be the "preferred selection" for the Pacers because of his "potential fit" alongside Pascal Siakam and Ivica Zubac.

"The ACC Player of the Year isn’t a human highlight reel, but he offers consistency and a diverse, impactful skill set. More importantly, he can bring a culture of winning after multiple championships in high school and an elite Duke team that made it to the Sweet 16 before a heartbreaking last-second loss,” Bryan Kalbrosky of USA Today wrote.

The fit with the Pacers makes a lot more sense than it does with some of the other teams in the NBA. Boozer has proven that he can make the right play offensively, and with how the Pacers play offense when Tyrese Haliburton and the rest of their team are healthy, the Duke product certainly fits in with that.

He'll need to continue developing his outside shot to really fit in with the Pacers, but outside of that, he'd be a really nice addition.
