He's enjoying himself.

After the Dallas Mavericks moved on from Luka Doncic a few years ago, despite moving on from Nico Harrison, there have been some questions about what else the Mavericks might decide to do.

It would never make sense to move on from a guy like former Duke star Cooper Flagg, but the same could have been said at any given moment for Doncic.

At this point, Flagg has proven that he's a very good player, but Doncic was better than him when he was traded, and there's absolutely no debate about that.

As for Flagg, he has an interesting case to be made as one of the better young players in the NBA, perhaps the best outside of Victor Wembanyama.

After a season that showed that he can compete at a high level on both ends of the floor as a rookie, there's reason to believe that he's only going to continue to get better.

As for whether he's enjoying Dallas, I know all Mavericks fans will be happy to hear this after they unfairly went through one of the worst trades in NBA history.

"Dallas has been amazing. It's a beautiful city. Incredible people," Flagg answered, per Yahoo. "There's not much to complain about. I wish it would cool down a little bit, it's been a very hot summer. That's my only complaint. And you know what, if that's what I complain about in the place I live for the rest of my life, I have worse things to worry about."

Flagg has always said a lot of the right things over the past couple of years. He's been in the spotlight since he was in high school.

During his time at Duke, he was somebody who seemingly just did what he had to do on the basketball court and took care of business off of it. It'll be interesting to see how this continues in the NBA, but regarding how he's enjoying Dallas so far, everything seems to be positive.

Flagg has a lot to look forward to in the short and long-term, and the same can be said for the Mavericks.
