The NBA Summer League is wrapping up in Las Vegas over the next few days as players will have a break before training camp opens up.

With the NBA season looming later this Fall, this was our first chance to look at the new draft class that entered the league. Going into this draft, the top four of AJ Dybantsa, Darryn Peterson, Cameron Boozer and Caleb Wilson drew a lot of hype.

And now, through Summer League, that remains true.

For Boozer, he's played in five Summer League games so far and has helped the Grizzlies advance to the semifinals this weekend. But the former Duke star had his best performance yet on Thursday night.

Featured stories

Boozer finished the game with 24 points to lead all scorers and added seven rebounds in the Memphis win. That performance included a very efficient 10-of-13 shooting from the field to lead the way for the Grizzlies.

While Dybantsa and Peterson played limited games in the Summer League, it's been Boozer and Wilson playing a lot more. Wilson played in four of the five games, opting to rest for the fifth game with the Bulls being eliminated. Boozer has also played in every game and will continue to do so as the Grizzlies advance.

With those two being drafted after Dybantsa and Peterson, it will be interesting to compare the four as the year goes on. But already, there is talk that this could put some pressure on Peterson as The J Notes writes:

There is no pressure on Peterson to deliver right away for Utah. In fact, it should be a few years before anyone draws conclusions, but Boozer and Wilson are definitely setting the bar for what Peterson will have to prove over the next several years.

There will definitely be more pressure on Peterson because of their play. It won't be fair pressure because they are in different situations, but the pressure will still be there nonetheless because any simple-minded skeptic will point out that the Jazz had the chance to pick them over Peterson.

Let's see if Boozer can continue his big Summer League performance over the weekend for the Grizzlies.
