I have such a tough time telling whether the perfect opportunity for Cameron Boozer in the NBA would be landing in the lottery with the Sacramento Kings.

In a sense, it almost feels like even if Boozer were to go a few picks later, that could be what's better for his career. I don't want to say that the Kings are a horrible organization and he can't work out there, as there are benefits to him being drafted to Sacramento, and I think they're very real, but I'd much rather see him with a team like the Indiana Pacers.

Unfortunately for Boozer, he doesn't have much control over that, as it's something he'll just have to deal with, no matter where he ends up.

In a recent mock draft, Boozer would land in Sacramento, and it would have some impact on other players on the Kings.

"The Kings need a leader. Boozer fits the bill. He’s a do-it-all offensive talent who can post up, run pick-and-rolls, set screens, spot up and crash the boards. He doesn’t need to rely on bully ball to make an impact as a scorer or passer. That said, the acquisition would almost certainly signal the end of the Domantas Sabonis given their overlapping strengths and weaknesses.

“Defensively, some of the questions about Boozer popped up in Duke’s Elite Eight loss to UConn: He wasn’t big enough to defend Tarris Reed, and he got smoked by Alex Karaban on a key 3-pointer on the perimeter. But he plays hard and has improved at every weakness in his game so far. That approach is exactly the type of player Sacramento needs to bring into its organization," Kevin O'Connor of Yahoo wrote.

If Boozer has an opportunity to go be a star in Sacramento, which he obviously would, I'd understand going in this direction for Sacramento, and I do think it could also work out for both sides.

However, I have some questions about being in Sacramento for a few different reasons, as it just hasn't shown that it can be a consistently competent organization. I'd hate to see Boozer have any wasted talent, so I'd rather have him be in a different spot.
