Cameron Boozer of Duke is likely hoping to be drafted by a few different teams, as some organizations would put him in a better spot to win games early on and have a chance to succeed throughout much of his career.

While the NBA is changing into a game where players typically don't stay on the teams that drafted them, a guy like Boozer, if he's as good as people expect him to be, will obviously be a player a team wants to keep around.

There are a few great fits for him, and one of them could be the Brooklyn Nets. I don't necessarily love Boozer on the Nets as a fit, but I do think there's reason to believe that he can be a very good player in Brooklyn, which is what an ESPN analyst recently predicted in his latest mock draft.

“While Duke fell just short of a Final Four berth, Boozer lived up to his lofty expectations, cleaning up player of the year awards and proving one of the most dependable freshman stars ever. He has the makings of a foundational, tone-setting player, and while his limited vertical lift might cap some of his upside, at some point, it's hard to argue with the results he has gotten. Boozer is a longer shot at No. 1, but teams largely feel comfortable with the production they're going to get from him.

“Brooklyn has a lot riding on this lottery, as it continues to look for a young franchise player to anchor the team and doesn't have control of its 2027 first, which is owed to Houston. Boozer is the safest choice on the board in that respect, as the Nets try to accelerate the competitive timeline of a young roster,” Jeremy Woo of ESPN wrote.

Brooklyn, perhaps more than any other team in the NBA at the moment, is really looking to add to its roster. The Nets have some decent pieces, but are still quite far from competing at a high level. Boozer doesn't change all of that, but he definitely helps.
