The Duke Roundtable Podcast Reacts to Duke's ACC Title Win and Whether or Not They Had a Legit Case to Get Into the CFP.

Josh Graham and Will Dalton co-host the Duke Roundtable podcast, which will release new episodes every week on the site. Here's what the tandem covered on this week’s pod:

  • ACC Champs. Duke found themselves in an unlikely rematch in the ACC Championship game with Virginia and it didn't disappoint. It was going to be difficult for Virginia to stop Darian Mensah the way they did the first time around. Mensah balled out, Duke ran the ball well, and most importantly, the Devils defense ended up getting the game winning interception in OT to deliver their first outright ACC title since 1962.
  • CFP Chaos. With Duke winning the ACC title, the Devils felt they had a case to be in the College Football Playoff over a one loss JMU team. There was the chance the JMU get chosen and the ACC get left out of the field entirely. However, the committee did the right thing and put Miami in over Notre Dame, and as a result, Duke was left out for JMU.
  • Going Bowling. Duke will now face Arizona State in El Paso at the Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl. Josh and Will go over some of the history of that bowl game and whether or not we could see an end to bowl games in the near future.
  • Who's better than Duke? After beating both Florida and Michigan State, it's now time to start having the conversation about Duke being in a tier of their own even though Arizona and Michigan are still ranked ahead of the Devils in the AP Top 25.
  • Better than last year? With some of the tough wins that Duke has pulled out, and the caliber of teams they've done it against, Will poses the question to Josh of whether it's possible that Duke might be better equipped to win a championship this year as opposed to last year with Cooper Flagg.

In addition to the Duke Roundtable Podcast, Graham and Dalton will also host weekly podcasts for other local teams in the state of North Carolina, including the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Hornets.

Both have covered Blue Devil football and basketball for years, while doing local radio for WSJS in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina.

Roundtable would love to engage with you on the Blue Devils. Please comment on our posts, follow Graham (@JoshGrahamShow) and Dalton (@TheWillDalton) on X and Instagram or create your own community posts.
