The Duke Roundtable Podcast Recaps Non Conference Play for the Devils and Tries To Figure Out Who the No. 2 Scorer Is After Cam Boozer.
Josh Graham and Will Dalton co-host the Duke Roundtable podcast, which will release new episodes every week on the site. Here's what the tandem covered on this week’s pod:
- Non-Con Recap. Duke finished up their initial non conference schedule ahead of ACC play stacking wins against Arkansas, Florida, and Michigan State. They did finally take a loss most recently against Texas Tech at MSG. Duke will have one more major non conference game against Michigan on February 21st in Washington D.C.
- Who Is No. 2 Scorer? Cam Boozer has been better than advertised so far this year, but the question recently has been trying to figure out who the second go to guy is. Sometimes it seems like it's Isaiah Evans, but other nights it has been Pat Ngongba.
- Quick ACC Start. Duke will have a long eleven day stretch to stew on their Texas Tech loss before beginning ACC play on New Years Eve at Florida State. Then, it's two more really strong ACC opponents in Louisville and SMU.
- Mensah's Future. Darian Mensah has now made the decision to stay at Duke for another year, but he was getting some feedback that had him considering entering the NFL. Will and Josh discuss the benefits of him staying at Duke another year vs. if would have decided to enter the NFL Draft in what may be a weaker draft class.
- NBA at Cameron. Josh and Will debate whether or not the NBA Cup Final should play at Cameron Indoor Stadium after Adam Silver, who is a Duke alum, mentioned doing the Final at historic college basketball venues.
- Year of the Devil. After making a Final Four appearance with Cooper Flagg and winning an ACC Championship in football, Josh and Will evaluate just how strong of a year this has been for the Blue Devils.
Both have covered Blue Devil football and basketball for years, while doing local radio for WSJS in the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina.
