Jon Scheyer made some statements after the court storming in Chapel Hill that got the attention of an Orange County DA. Did the DA go a little too far or did Scheyer with his comments? Can court storming be policed?
Less than two weeks after Duke put up25 points against Boston College, which was the lowest output in a half on Duke's season, the Devils obliterated Syracuse, 101-64, putting up a season high 61 points in the second half.
The hype going into the Duke-Michigan game has been awesome. Between the insane ticket prices to the way the media is talking about it, it's terrific for college basketball. Jay Williams had it right last week when he said that the product in college basketball is way better and has more juice than the NBA, right now.
There's three things Duke will need to pull off a win against Michigan, a game where the Devils are 2.5 point underdogs. They need Cam Boozer to be Cam Boozer against some pretty significant size that Michigan has. They also need to continue to be the elite defensive team that they've become over the course of ACC play. Lastly, they need "closer" Caleb Foster to show up.
Michigan's size is likely going to be the thing that gets the best of Duke. For as good as Duke is, Michigan might be a notch higher. They have three big men that were all centers on different teams last year. They also have alite guard play coming from former Tar Heel, Elliot Cadeau. Even if Duke loses, this is an excellent measuring stick game for them because the title is likely going to have to go through Michigan.
