The Florida Gators have secured their latest win on the recruiting trail.
It has certainly been a busy week for the Florida Gators on the recruiting trail, as they secured commitments from five-star offensive lineman Maxwell Hiller as well as four-star quarterback Davin Davidson.
Well, following Florida's spring game on Saturday, the Gators landed another top prospect, flipping four-star cornerback Aamaury Fountain from the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Fountain is the 26th-ranked cornerback and the 195th-ranked player overall in the class of 2027, via 247 Sports' composite rankings.
The 6-foot-3 defender committed to South Carolina back in January, but kept his options open. It didn't take long for Florida to convince him to take his talents to Gainesville.
Fountain had 34 offers in total, including big-name programs like Alabama, Georgia, Indiana, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas, among others.
However, once again, new Florida head coach Jon Sumrall won over a top prospect, the latest impressive victory by Sumrall.
Fountain has an official visit to Gainesville scheduled for May 28.

He put together one of the best transfer portal hauls in the country, so much so that On 3 placed Florida ninth in its transfer portal rankings.
Additionally, Sumrall convinced several prominent players to remain in The Swamp, such as running back Jadan Baugh, wide receiver Vernell Brown and edge rusher Jayden Woods.
Sumrall has also been very active in recruiting, as the Gators have been rather ubiquitous in the mix for the top players in the nation.
Florida has now bagged six commitments for the class of 2027. Four out of the six commitments are four stars or better, with Hiller being the lone five-star player.
The Gators went just 4-8 last season and have posted four losing campaigns over their last five years, marking one of the worst stretches in school history.
Sumrall is aiming to fix that, and he has certainly changed the atmosphere in Gainesville since arriving in late November.
But will the 43-year-old actually be able to bring Florida back to prominence? We'll see when the Gators take the field starting on Sept. 5 against Florida Atlantic.
