A Florida Gators star is projected to be drafted by the Baltimore Ravens.

Florida Gators star Caleb Banks is one of the top defensive linemen in the upcoming NFL Draft. Banks' draft stock rose during an impressive Senior Bowl performance, showcasing his ability to stop the run and get pressure on the quarterback.

In The Athletic's latest mock draft, they have Banks landing with the Baltimore Ravens with the 14th overall pick.

Banks would be a major addition to Baltimore's defense, which will be under first-year head coach Jesse Minter. Minter comes from the Los Angeles Chargers, where he was the defensive coordinator.

With Minter's defensive mind, drafting a player like Banks to build around on the defensive line could be a great fit.

Banks only appeared in three games in the 2025 season due to injuries. In those games, he posted six total tackles, a tackle for loss, and a fumble recovery.

The 2024 campaign was his breakout year, finishing with 21 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery.

The six-foot-six defensive tackle could be a great run stuffer and a solid pass rusher at the next level.

Florida as a whole had a rough 2025 season, going just 4-8. Having a player like Banks out for most of the season certainly didn't help.

However, change is coming to Florida, as the team has hired Jon Sumrall as its next head coach. Sumrall comes from Tulane, where he had a ton of success.

He led Tulane to a 20-8 record over his two seasons, including a trip to the College Football Playoff in 2025.

The hiring of Sumrall brings promise back to Florida, who haven't won a championship since 2008 under then-head coach Urban Meyer.

While Banks didn't get to experience the upcoming change for Florida, he leaves for the NFL with a promising future ahead.

There is still plenty of time before the upcoming NFL Draft, as the NFL Combine has yet to happen. However, Banks' draft stock is on the rise, and he could go in the mid-first round to a team looking to bolster their defensive line, like the Ravens.
