The Gators enter Week 10 as surging six-point favorites.
Not only did the spread for the Florida Gators vs. Oklahoma Sooners open at four-points, but it later moved two-points further in the Gators favor.
Head coach Jon Sumrall let his thoughts be heard after a brutal loss in Atlanta, but at the end of the day there's no shame in losing to the now No. 2-ranked Georgia Bulldogs.
Still, dropping a third game this year stung quite a bit, and Florida had far too many things work against them in that game.
Most of their wounds were self inflicted, so that's a major focal point heading into Week 10 when Oklahoma comes to town.
The Sooners are just 2-3 in conference play, and they're now six-point underdogs, according to DraftKings, ahead of this matchup on Saturday, Nov. 7.
Spread works in Florida's favor
At the time of writing, the money line is set at -205 for Florida, meaning a $205 bet would win $100 in return.
No one is anticipating that this game will be a blowout, nor should they be as Florida has a bad home loss this year to South Carolina.
That Ole Miss win was quickly forgotten about after the Gators were embarrassed on the road at Missouri, and then back at home against the Gamecocks.
Remember, this is the same Oklahoma team that beat Texas a few weeks ago, so while it's an impressive feat for Florida to have, the Sooners are in the same conversation.
Oklahoma is +170 in the money line, so a $100 bet would net $170 should the Sooners prevail.
The over-under is currently set at 47.5 points, though that seems low with how these defenses have played this season.
As always, the spread, over-under, and money line will fluctuate throughout the week, though it was quite notable to see Florida jump to six-point favorites after it only opened as a four-point spread.
Florida vs. Oklahoma preview
To say there's a quarterback controversy in Gainesville would be an understatement. Aaron Philo looked horrendous in Atlanta, so it's safe to assume that Tramell Jones Jr. will be the Week 10 starter.
Oklahoma has John Mateer leading the way, and he's meant everything to a Sooners team that has just 854 rushing yards as a team.
For reference, Jadan Baugh has 801 himself, so that's one of the clear areas where the Gators should have an advantage, at least on paper, going into this one.
