The Florida Gators have been given a strong back to defeat South Carolina this week.

The Florida Gators were given a harsh reality check last week against the Missouri Tigers, bringing the team back down to earth.

After a hot start to the season, Florida was blown out against Missouri, seeing the team drop its first game of the year. The performance against the Tigers was a frustrating all around, but the Gators still have a lot in front of them this season.

Florida will now be getting ready for a game against the South Carolina Gamecocks, giving them an opportunity to right the ship. The Gators will be hosting South Carolina, and this team has been good at home this season.

South Carolina comes into the contest with a record of 2-3, with them dropping three games in SEC play. Florida has a record of 4-1 on the new year, and this team can't overlook the Gamecocks in this matchup

After the loss last week, the Gators will be trying to get back on track against South Carolina at home. And if the game predictor from ESPN is any indication, Florida has a good chance of making it happen.

Florida has been given a 73 percent chance to take down the Gamecocks this weekend, showing strong faith in this group. The Gators still have a lot of talent on the roster, and they will come into the game against South Carolina as heavy favorites,

But the game has to be played out on the field, with the Gators needing to earn the win. Florida will look to get back to the basics this week, which includes getting star running back Jadan Baugh back on track.

Baugh was held in check a week ago against Missouri, with the Tigers limiting him to just 13 rushing yards on 12 attempts. But for the season, Baugh has been special, with him rushing for 611 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Before the game against Missouri, Baugh had generated a lot of Heisman Trophy noise, but it has quieted since. However, if he can get back on track against South Carolina, there is a chance, albeit slim, for him to get back into the race.

Baugh is easily the most important piece to this Gators team, and the coaching staff will have to figure out how to get him going again. South Carolina's defense has been prone to giving up yards, and the star back will try to take full advantage this weekend.

Kickoff for the big game between the Gators and Gamecocks is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. PT/12:45 p.m. ET.
