Florida Gators legend Tim Tebow offered a hilarious response to Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

Florida Gators legend Tim Tebow is widely viewed as one of the greatest college football players ever, as he won a pair of national championships during his time in Gainesville.

To be quite frank, the program has never been the same since he left.

Tebow remains a very prominent public figure and is idolized by many, and that includes Indiana Hoosiers quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

After defeating the Miami Hurricane in the national championship, Mendoza was interviewed by ESPN's Scott Van Pelt and was specifically asked about Tebow. Mendoza kept calling the 38-year-old "Mr. Tebow," and Tebow shut the Indiana star down in hilarious fashion.

Obviously, Tebow's reply was good natured, but it's cool to see the exchange between the two champion quarterbacks.

Tebow spent four years at Florida between 2006 and 2009, and while he was a part of two titles, he wasn't a full-time starter in the first championship. He did, however, score a couple of touchdowns — one on the ground, one through the air — during the Gators' victory over Ohio State in January 2007.

Now, throughout Florida's second national title run in the 2008-09 campaign, Tebow was front and center throwing for 30 touchdowns while rushing for 12 scores. And the season prior, Tebow won the Heisman Trophy after racking up an incredible 55 total touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Mendoza threw for 3,535 yards, 41 touchdowns and six interceptions while completing 72 percent of his passes this year. Additionally, he punched in seven rushing scores, capturing his own Heisman Trophy award.

The 22-year-old actually spent the first two years of his career at California before transferring to Indiana head of 2025.

Mendoza is expected to be selected by the Las Vegas Raiders with the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft this April, and he is also viewed as a much better prospect than Tebow ever was.

Tebow ultimately was chosen by the Denver Broncos in the first round of the draft and did lead the Broncos to a playoff win during his rookie campaign, but his lack of throwing prowess resulted in him being out of the league within a few years.
