This intriguing Florida Gators talent has been linked to the Buffalo Bills in the NFL Draft.

Last year, Florida Gators defensive end Tyreak Sapp enjoyed a fantastic campaign, racking up 47 tackles, 13 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

As a result, Sapp was viewed as a potential first-round talent entering 2025, and Bleacher Report's Matt Holder labeled him "strong as a bull" in his scouting report.

However, things did not go according to plan for Sapp this past season.

The 23-year-old finished with just 34 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and a sack in 12 games, watching his NFL Draft stock plummet as a result.

Sapp went from being a potential first-round selection to a probable Day 3 pick, but because of his blend of strength and motor, he could comprise a possible mid-round steal for some NFL team.

Travis May of A to Z Sports envisions the Buffalo Bills willing to take a chance on Sapp, projecting the Bills to nab Sapp in the fourth round at No. 126.

It's important to note that Sapp posted a phenomenal 90.3 overall grade at Pro Football Focus in 2024, registering an 86.6 run defense grade and an 82.1 rating as a pass rusher. He was elite in pretty much every category that season.

So what exactly happened to Sapp in 2025?

Well, the Fort Lauderdale native isn't exactly the most athletic edge rusher on the block, and he probably isn't quite big enough to play on the interior.

As a result, Sapp is a bit of a tweener, and while that should not adversely affected his production that much during his senior campaign in Gainesville, it's as good of an explanation as any.

It's also why Sapp might not be anything more than a rotational player on the professional level. Bull rushing will not work most of the time against NFL offensive linemen, so the former four-star recruit will have to expand his repertoire of moves.

Plus, Sapp's lack of athleticism will likely make it so that he cannot develop into a sack artist in the pros, but he still may very well become a key piece in the trenches somewhere in a part-time role.

The Bills could certainly use some help defensively, so perhaps picking up Sapp on Day 3 would be a wise move for the club trying to get over the hump and finally win a Super Bowl.
