Florida Gators sophomore quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. sparked a stunning comeback in Austin.

With how the Florida Gators looked these past two weeks, it seemed like all but a guarantee the No. 7 Texas Longhorns were going to take care of business.

Texas barely fell in the AP Top 25 last week after they were stunned by Oklahoma, 27-24.

Both of these teams were coming into this game off a loss, but Texas was at home and that gave them a huge advantage.

Not only that, but Florida was forced to start sophomore Tramell Jones Jr. after Aaron Philo was ruled out due to a shoulder injury.

Florida overcame a 14-point deficit

On the very first drive of the game, Texas went the length of the field, scoring in just seven plays.

At that point, some Gators fans may have already checked out. This is a Florida team that had College Football Playoff aspirations, but back-to-back losses had them looking like a completely different team as they entered DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium.

The Gators had to punt in each of their first quarter drives, neither of which even resulted in a first down.

Through the first 15 minutes, Texas enjoyed a 10-0 lead. Florida's third drive resulted in a field goal, only for Texas to take a 17-3 lead just a few minutes later.

Florida put together a solid nine-play, 49-yard drive before halftime to cut the deficit to seven. From there, the rest was history.

A 15-play, 69-yard drive got the second half started on a high-note for the Gators. They tied this game up at 17, and that would be the score heading into the fourth quarter.

Florida only managed to get three points on a 14-play drive, but it put them up 20-17, and that's all that mattered.

A stunning fourth-quarter touchdown later had them ahead by 10 points, and Texas may have answered immediately, but Arch Manning would later cough up the football and then Florida was able to run out the clock.

Final: Florida 27, Texas 24

Heisman hopeful Jadan Baugh had a solid bounce-back performance with 25 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown.

That said, all eyes were on Jones. The Florida native finished 22-for-35 for 155 yards with a pair of touchdowns.

Lacota Dippre had just two receptions for 15 yards, but both of those receptions were touchdowns.

Kanye Clark jumped on the football when Manning coughed it up, and together this Gators defense accounted for five sacks and 11 tackles for loss.
