Baugh has been electric for the Gators this season, helping the team start the year 3-0 in impressive fashion. So far, Baugh has rushed for 458 yards and eight touchdowns for Florida through the first three games of the season.
His production has been one of the best performances to open the year across the nation, giving the Gators a true weapon on offense to use. But his start to the season has also generated a lot of Heisman Trophy buzz around Baugh.
Baugh has been trying to block out all of the outside noise, especially when it comes to the Heisman Trophy. But he can't get rid of everything, with his dad trying to hype him up each week.
The Florida star revealed that his dad sends him a picture of the Heisman Trophy every Monday, telling him to go and get it. Baugh said that all the talk around the award is just an extra push for him, rather than a daily focus.
With Baugh playing the way that he has been, the Gators are being viewed as a potential sleeper in the SEC this year. Florida has started the season out 3-0, grabbing a huge win on the road over the Auburn Tigers last week.
This was the first SEC game of the year for Florida, and the team was able to come away with the victory. But the schedule does get a little tougher now, and this week, it will be the toughest test yet for Baugh and the Gators.
