Florida Star RB Jadan Baugh Receives Strong NFL Draft Prediction

Florida Gators star running back Jadan Baugh continues to amaze every time he steps foot on the field. Baugh has been the leader for the Gators and their best player by far, helping them rise from an unranked program at the start of the year to the eighth-ranked team in the latest AP Poll.

Baugh was impressive in Florida's win over the Ole Miss Rebels, as he rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries while catching one pass for 12 yards.

Baugh has established himself as one of the best running backs in the country, as he's rushed for 600 yards and 11 touchdowns through the first four games of the season. That is already a career high for him in rushing touchdowns, and he also leads college football in that category while ranking second in rushing yards.

He decided to remain with the Gators under new head coach Jon Sumrall, and that decision has made him a contender for the Heisman Trophy and helped Florida improve from a 4-8 team in 2025 to one of the best teams in the country, with aspirations of winning the National Championship.

With the way Baugh has played, he is the best running back in the 2027 class and could be a first-round pick. In Sports Illustrated's latest mock draft, Baugh lands with the Jacksonville Jaguars with the 19th overall pick.

This would make the Jaguars' offense even more potent after they lost star running back Travis Etienne in free agency. Baugh would instantly be an NFL starter and could make an impact in his rookie campaign.

He has an unreal contact balance, which allows him to gain extra yards after getting hit. Baugh has also proven he can be a solid receiver when asked to catch passes out of the backfield.

The star running back has improved every season he has been at Florida. In his freshman season in 2024, he rushed for 673 yards and seven touchdowns, along with four receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown.

Baugh put up bigger numbers in 2025, rushing for 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns while catching 33 passes for 210 yards and two touchdowns. He is on pace to shatter these numbers and have a career year in 2026.

If Baugh continues to play at this level for the remainder of the season and leads the Gators into the College Football Playoff, he has a legitimate chance of winning the Heisman Trophy.
