Florida's Jadan Baugh Receives Major 2027 NFL Draft Prediction

Florida Gators running back Jadan Baugh is entering the 2026 season and is poised for a productive season. The Gators made significant changes this offseason, firing head coach Billy Napier and replacing him with Jon Sumrall.

Sumrall achieved immense success during his time at Troy and Tulane. In two seasons at Troy, finishing with a 23-4 record. He was successful in his two years at Tulane, recording a 20-8 record and an appearance in the College Football Playoff.

Florida finished with a 4-8 record in 2025, and while Sumrall may not turn the Gators into a contender right away, they should improve in 2026. They have added more talent and retained their star running back, Baugh.

Baugh will be a key piece for Florida's offense, playing at a high level. In his freshman campaign in 2024, he rushed for 673 yards and seven touchdowns on 133 carries while also hauling in four receptions for 33 yards and a touchdown.

He became a star in the 2025 season, rushing for 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns, along with 33 receptions for 210 yards and two touchdowns. In a new offense, he could have another dynamic season and be the focal point for the Gators' offense.

With his great play expected to continue in the 2026 season, Bleacher Report predicts the New England Patriots will select Baugh with the 23rd overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.

"Jadan Baugh will enter the upcoming campaign as Bleacher Report's top-ranked running back prospect," Bleacher Report scout Dame Parson said. "Because he displays excellent vision, patience and post-snap processing quickness. The 225-pound ball-carrier runs with a powerful downhill style and excellent contact balance to churn out extra yardage."

This is major praise for Baugh, as he could be the first running back off the board in the upcoming draft.

If the Patriots selected him, it would create a dynamic young backfield between him and TreVeyon Henderson.

Baugh seems to have a great career ahead, and another productive season at Florida will boost his draft stock for the 2027 NFL Draft.
