This underrated Florida Gators star has received a surprising ranking before the NFL Draft.
The Florida Gators have just one player expected to go in the first round of the NFL Draft this month, and that's defensive tackle Caleb Banks.
Even Banks is a question mark due to the fact that he just underwent foot surgery for the second time in six months, which could scare some teams away from selecting him on Day 1.
Regardless, the prevailing thought is that Banks will be a first-round pick, and no other Florida players come close.
However, one underrated Gators star seems to be rising up boards as the draft inches closer and closer: cornerback Devin Moore.
Previously viewed as a late third or early fourth-round pick, Moore seems to be gaining some steam, even after running a 4.62 in the 40-yard dash at his Pro Day.
In fact, Ryan Wilson of CBS Sports has ranked Moore No. 44 on his top 100 prospects list, which places Moore in the upper half of Round 2.
"I don't care that Florida CB Devin Moore (No. 44) ran a 4.62 in the 40 at his pro day because he plays much faster than that. In fact, he plays faster than the 4.50 he ran at the combine," Wilson wrote.

"First, at 6-foot-3 and 193 pounds, he has length. He's also scheme-diverse, comfortable in both man and zone looks, and has some of the best instincts in the class, consistently reading the QB and driving on throws," Wilson added. "Because of his frame, Moore can match up with bigger NFL receivers while also offering real value as a tackler and force defender against the run."
Moore unquestionably has elite size for the position, and what he lacks in top-end speed he makes up for in long strides.
"There's also his position flexibility; he can play outside, in the box and even some safety," Wilson continued. "And though the production doesn't jump off the stat sheet, the combination of size, physicality and football IQ makes him a high-floor player for me, and it's why I have him ranked so high."
I definitely agree that Moore is one of the more underrated players in this draft class and is absolutely a compelling prospect due to his physicals.
While being a big cornerback doesn't necessarily guarantee you will be a starter, it definitely helps, and Moore has the talent to go along with his size.
The Naples, Fl. native registered 35 tackles, a sack, a couple of interceptions and three passes defended in 2025.
