The Florida Gators (3-4) play the Georgia Bulldogs (6-1) this Saturday at Everbank Stadium in Jacksonville. It will be the first game for Florida in the post-Billy Napier Era, with wide receivers coach Billy Gonzales taking over as interim head coach after Napier's firing last week.
Here is everything you need to know about the Bulldogs ahead of the SEC matchup.
2025 Results: The Bulldogs haven't looked as dominant as they did in years past under head coach Kirby Smart, but they're 6-1 and No. 5 in the country all the same. UGA has eked out a couple close wins, with its only loss a nailbiter against Alabama back in September.
By The Numbers: The Bulldogs are scoring 33.7 points per game (40th of 136 nationwide), while allowing 19.6 points per game (30th of 136). UGA's efficient passing game (QB Gunnar Stockton leads the SEC with a 70.5% completion percentage) has been complemented by a strong running game. The Bulldogs average 190.6 yards per game on the ground. UGA is outgaining opponents by an average of 115 yards per game.
Leading Passer: Gunnar Stockton - 141-for-200, 1,553 yards, 10 touchdowns, one interception
Leading Receiver: Zachariah Branch - 35 catches, 362 yards, two touchdowns, 10.3 yards per catch
Leading Rusher: Chauncey Bowens - 70 rushes, 376 yards, four touchdowns, 5.4 yards per rush
Leading Tackler: Linebacker CJ Allen - 56 tackles, three sacks
Game Analysis: On paper, this should be a mismatch between a Top 5 team and a program doing so badly it fired its coach mid-season. However, college football is rarely that straightforward, and there are plenty of reasons to think this could be an entertaining game.
UGA won't be able to do much prep for what is expected to be a new-look, up-tempo offense for UF. The Gators are also stacked with enough talent to beat just about anyone in the country when all things are clicking. Add in the rivalry factor, and this game has far less predictability than the records indicate that it should.
SPEED IT UP: By cutting out the middle man and installing a new play caller, Billy Gonzales thinks UF's offense will be able to move much faster. READ MORE
