Ok, let's just keep this in mind: it's only Week 3. That being said, although Gators sophomore quarterback DJ Lagway posted respectable stats in last week's upset loss to South Florida, some fans and pundits are saying Lagway has not fully resembled the guy who has been talked about as a potential Heisman Trophy contender. The word "rusty" keeps popping when discussing Lagway's first two games this season. He has tossed pinpoint accurate passes but will follow it on the next play with a throw that had no chance of being caught. And at times, his scrambling ability has looked shaky, with seemingly less-than-optimal foot speed. Lagway's recovery from recent injuries has helped fuel the questions of whether he is 100 percent fit. And with the Gators heading to Baton Rouge, La., on Saturday night for their Southeastern Conference season opener against No. 3 Louisiana State, the debate on Lagway's fitness continues.

All that, of course, raises this question: With Lagway's occasional inconsistency, should backup freshman QB Tramell Jones, Jr., who looked impressive while playing the entire second half of Florida's season-opening blowout of Long Island University, get some playing time this week against LSU?
