Center Harrison Moore and linebacker Jayden Woods secure conference and national honors after the Florida Gators Week 3 victory.
A pair of Florida Gators were honored after this team went to Jordan-Hare Stadium and took down the Auburn Tigers, 44-39.
There were plenty of players who held their own; look no further than star running back Jadan Baugh, but in the end it was center Harrison Moore and linebacker Jayden Woods who went home with hardware.
Earlier in the week, Moore was named the SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week. In order for Baugh to have such a huge performance, he needed someone to block for him, and Moore did exactly that.
Elsewhere, Woods was named the Week 3 Chuck Bednarik Award Player of the Week after he totaled career highs in a pair of categories against the Tigers.
Florida's offensive line is rock solid with Moore at the helm
The junior center played all 81 snaps against Auburn and put together a fantastic pass blocking grade of 83.9, according to Pro Football Focus.
That grade was a game high, and it comes as no surprise he reached that by not allowing a sack, QB hit, QB hurry, or QB pressure.
To do all four of those things in a game is incredibly impressive, and it's even more noteworthy coming on the road in the Gators' conference opener.
Moore began his career at Georgia Tech, but transferred and has made an immediate impact so far with Florida.
Through three games, he's allowed just one QB hurry and one QB pressure.
Officially, Moore is the first Gator to win this award since Austin Barber did so in 2024.
Woods put together a career week
Florida's defense may have allowed 39 points against Auburn, but Woods did everything in his power to propel this team to victory.
As part of his monstrous day, he compiled a career high three and a half tackles for loss along with a career best two and a half sack performance.
The sophomore already has 15 total tackles this season, 10 of which are solo, and that's not even including his three sacks.
Woods leads the team in sacks and is only five tackles shy of Myles Graham's team-leading 20 total tackles.
The Maxwell Football Club announced that Woods would be named the Chuck Bednarik Award Player of the Week after he was tied for a team high with six total tackles, and it's also worth noting that he had a QB hurry against Auburn.
Florida is back home on Saturday, Sept. 26, against No. 4 Ole Miss.
