Florida State receiver Duce Robinson is a semi-finalist for the award given annually to college football's best receiver. Robinson currently leads the ACC in receiving and is among the top performers nationwide.

Florida State receiver Duce Robinson has been named a semi-finalist for the prestigious Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the nation's top college wide receiver. The news comes on the back of Robinson's standout performance against Virginia Tech, racking up 134 yards and one touchdown on six catches.

Robinson, an FSU legacy, has been an immediate star since transferring from Southern Cal in the offseason. The junior receiver leads the Seminoles with 49 receptions, 947 yards and five touchdowns through 10 games in 2025.

Robinson leads the ACC with 94.7 yards per game, and the tally places him 5th overall in the country. The big-bodied deep threat is also excelling in ACC play, leading the league with 748 receiving yards and 106.9 yards per conference game.

A proven playmaker, Robinson also leads the ACC in 30-yard and 80-yard catches.

Robinson is one of 13 semi-finalists for the award, which, fittingly, is presented annually by the Tallahassee Quarterback Club Foundation. The award is named for former Florida State wide receiver Fred Biletnikoff.

Robinson has been one of FSU's most consistent players during the up-and-down 2025 campaign, and he may well be paving a path directly to the NFL. By some projections, he could be a first round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft in the spring.

Florida State head coach Mike Norvell had plenty of praise to heap on his star receiver after Robinson's big game against the Hokies last Saturday.

"He just continues to show up," Norvell said. "He's a great young man that loves to work. He came into my office on Monday and he said, 'Coach, what else do you need from me? What else do you want from me? I want to help this team and I want to be the best I possibly can be.' And I challenged him. I said, 'Every day has to be your championship game. Every day you've got to be willing to be the example.'

"My favorite play of him tonight wasn't any of the catches. He hit a big block on one of the swing passes that we threw. That's something I challenged him with. 'I want to see you play without the ball in your hands. And he showed up.

"He probably had his best celebration after the block. And that's where it's easy to see and celebrate some of the stat line things, which he's on pace and doing wonderful things and answering the call when we need him. But somebody that cares deeply about his teammates and wants to see their success, wants our success, and is ready to do whatever he needs to to make that happen. Looking forward to him continuing to grow in these last couple of games as we continue to build for what's ahead."

Robinson is on pace to surpass the 1,000-yard mark before halftime against North Carolina State this weekend. With two more games at his current average, Robinson would move into the Top 10 for single season receiving yardage in FSU history. If he gets a bowl game, the current per-game average would move him into the Top 5 all time, just ahead of Peter Warrick.

FSU plays at NC State this Friday at 8 pm.
