Can the Seminoles break out of their current slide? Here's the betting preview plus find out which channel will air the game.

Florida State earned plenty of rest following its most lopsided defeat of the basketball season.

Is it enough to redeem themselves from that debacle against North Carolina State? And are the Seminoles a massive underdog by virtue of their current slide and 113-69 loss?

The ACC Network via ESPN will be airing the 9 p.m. ET showdown inside the JMA Wireless Dome. Fans who don't get the network can turn to Fubo, Sling TV and You Tube TV.

But again, is FSU a huge underdog here? Here's Fernie Ruano with the betting preview:

It's currently 40-degrees in Syracuse, New York.

And that's quite balmy compared how cold the Florida State Seminoles men's basketball team has been entering Tuesday night's 9:00 p.m.(ET) tip vs. the Syracuse Orange (11-5, 2-1) inside the JMA Wireless Dome.

The 8.5-point road 'dog Seminoles, currently on a three-game losing streak and 3-7 in their last 10 games overall, are coming off an embarrassing 113-69 home loss to the North Carolina Wolfpack in which they fell behind 11-0 nearly five minutes into the first half and didn't reach double digits in total points until 7:53 remained in the first half.

Home favorite Syracuse (11-5. 2-1), 7-3 in their last 10 games and is 8-2 at home, is -315 on the moneyline.

The over/under is 159.5 for the 9:00 p.m. (ET) tipoff on ACC Network.

The offensive-challenged and size deprived Seminoles watched the Wolfpack sped up and down the court while jumping out to a 33-9 lead on the strength of six straight made three-pointers.

On the bright-side, freshman forward Thomas Bassong scored a team-high 14 points vs. the Wolfpack.

Florida State, 65-62 losers to Syracuse in a 2025 NCAA Tournament game, defeated the Orange in a regular season game in Tallahassee last year.

The Orange, coming off a 83-72 road victory over the Pittsburgh Panthers, got 22 points in 30 minutes from star sophomore forward Donnie Freeman, who has been limited so far this season because of a foot injury.

G JJ Starling is averaging 11.1 points per game for the Orange.

Seminoles vs. Orange betting analysis:

Despite the Seminoles, o-4 on the road entering tonight, helping men's college basketball bettors cash the first half under in 22 of their 32 games overall, FSU, plagued by plenty of offensive inefficiencies, wants to play fast - even though connecting on just 27.9% of attempted 54.6% three-point shots so far this season isn't going to get it done vs. a very good Syracuse defense.

So, look for the Seminoles, while needing to do a better job of rebounding, limiting turnovers and protecting the paint on defense, to try to slow things down on offense, in order to negate the explosive athleticism of Donnie Freeman, recently back from a foot injury after missing nine games, and JJ Starling, both very capable of taking over a game at anytime.

Also: Shooting air balls and giving the opposition second and third chances at rim will not do it for the Seminoles, tonight. So, it would be wise to monitor the status of FSU big-man Alex Steen (groin injury), currently listed as probable.

However, Florida State, not to mention the Orange, has been riddled by a high turnover rate, so the under total might be in play on Wednesday night.

Especially, with the Orange, back home after just completing a two-game road trip, set to pack their bags again - for a visit to Georgia Tech on Saturday.
