Mike Norvell lands a dynamic playmaker as the four-star blue-chip prospect chooses Tallahassee over heavyweights like Georgia, following years of relentless pursuit by the Seminoles' staff.
4-Star wide receiver recruit Sean Green has committed to Florida State, according to multiple reports.
Mike Norvell has his first wideout commit for the recruiting Class of 2027. The Seminoles wrapped up another massive and successful official visit weekend that Green attended.
The Camden County High School’s WR opened up about his official visit, saying it, “went great, I loved it.”
Ranked among the Top 300 prospects nationally, FSU can expect its name to come out on top when Green makes his decision, but there’s a caveat.
"We didn't really talk about football," Green added. "They've been pushing hard to try to recruit me to get here."
While he didn’t go into much detail, he still hasn’t made a decision, meaning the Seminoles are not out of the question. But they do have serious competition.
The Georgia Bulldogs have been the heavyweights in the recruiting battle for Green ever since he wrapped up his OV in Athens last week. They still remain one, but now, there are two more schools have also entered the tug of war: Virginia and Georgia Tech, both of which are ranked ‘warm’ per 247 Sports predictor.
The next week, Green is headed to Virginia and is expected to announce his commitment following that OV at the end of June or in early July.
Why Sean Green Chose Florida State
Green has visited Tallahassee more than he has visited any other campus. Ever since the Seminoles extended an offer to him back in May 2025, the blue-chip WR has had about four unofficial visits and an official visit with FSU: two in October 2025, followed by a Junior Day appearance in January 2026, and another unofficial visit in April 2026.
With other schools like Georgia and Virginia, Green has conducted only an official visit, which speaks volumes on why he felt FSU was pushing hard to recruit him. Co-offensive coordinator Tim Harris Jr. has been the primary staffer involved in Green’s recruiting process, and even FSU’s latest QB commit, Logan Flaherty, has mentioned his excitement for Green’s commitment.
Flaherty and Green were together during the official visit weekend, and Flaherty mentioned how FSU looks like “they're in first place from what I understand.”
Green has 89 catches for 1,156 yards and 14 touchdowns over the last two seasons combined. He also has a background in track as a high-end long jumper.
