The Florida State football team is in the Top 10 following its 77-3 win against East Texas A&M on Saturday in Tallahassee. The Seminoles today rose to No. 10 in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll, up from No. 14 last week. FSU also moved up to No. 12 in the US LBM Coaches Poll Top 25, a jump of seven spots.

Head coach Mike Norvell's team was unranked just two weeks ago when the season began, making this rise to the AP Top 10 even more impressive. The national recognition is a stark contrast from last year when the Seminoles started the season 0-3, leading to a precipitous fall out of the polls after starting the year ranked No. 10 by the AP.

The Seminoles also saw the first of what could be several individual honors come in for sophomore wide receiver Duce Robinson. The 6-foot-6 standout was named to the PFF ACC Team of the Week thanks to his breakout performance at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday.

Robinson led all players in the game with five catches for 173 yards and two touchdowns in less than two quarters of action. It was a day that Norvell described as "remarkable" and that FSU quarterback Tommy Castellanos likened to a coming out party for the talented receiver.

The highlight of Robinson's performance was his one-handed, 42-yard grab in the endzone. With a defender on top of him, Robinson adjusted to make the catch with his right hand for his second touchdown of the afternoon.

Florida State is now 2-0 on the season after defeating then-No. 8 Alabama 31-17 in the season opener, followed by Saturday's 77-3 rout of FCS East Texas A&M.

The 10th-ranked Seminoles are likely to only move up in the polls, if there is any change, over the next two weeks. FSU is off this weekend before hosting Kent State on September 20. The October 4th ACC opener against No. 5 Miami looms large. That tilt in Tallahassee will be one of the biggest games of the year for both teams, with potential ACC title and postseason implications.
