FSU is now 30-4 after securing its first ACC road win of the season beating the Clemson Tigers 4-1.

Florida State softball extended its win streak to 19 games as the No. 10 Noles took down the No.19 Clemson Tigers 4-1 to secure the first win of this three game road series.

The Noles entered this game 1-4 against ranked teams. This win gives the Noles their first Atlantic Coast Conference road win of the season and improves their record to 30-4. The Garnet and Gold remain undefeated in the ACC at 7-0, and undefeated on the road at 4-0.

Neither team crossed the plate until the fourth inning. Junior utility Ashtyn Danley and freshman right fielder Bella Ruggerio led the charge in the top of the fourth with back-to-back singles. Shelby McKenzie singled up the middle, scoring Danley and advancing Ruggerio to third. Ruggerio would later score when junior center fielder Kennedy Harp would ground out. Freshman second baseman Marin Heller hit a double to score McKenzie. Florida State was up 3-0 after the top of the fourth.

The Tigers responded in the bottom of the inning when freshman first baseman Mac Pavese hit a single, sophomore infielder Marion Collins walked, and sophomore Macey Cintron also singled. With the bases loaded junior infielder Julia Knowler hit a sacrifice fly to plate Collins.

Junior shortstop Isa Torres got on first base after a fielder's choice. The All American then second base. A single by junior third baseman Jaysoni Beachum brough Torres home.

The fifth and sixth innings went scoreless. Florida State's streak of four straight run-rule victories was snapped as the game ended 4-1 after seven innings.

FSU was stout on the mound as the combination of sophomore Jazzy Francik, senior Makenna Reid, and Danley only gave up four hits on the day. Reid got the win and is now 4-1 on the season.

FSU hit into four double plays in this game, and scored their four runs on nine hits. Torres saw her consecutive game hit streak extend to 13 games. With this win FSU is 4-0 at Clemson all-time. Shelby McKenzie now has an RBI in nine straight games for the second-longest streak in FSU softball history.

Game 2 kicks off at noon ET in Clemson on March 28.
