The Seminoles dominated with an 8-0 shutout, clinching the top seed and their 19th regular season crown. Florida State now carries a triple-threat pitching staff into Charlottesville.

No. 10 Florida State softball defeated Boston College 8-0 to win the ACC title for the second consecutive season and clinch the top seed in the upcoming ACC tournament.

This was the seventh sweep of an ACC team for the Noles (46-8, 21-3) this season, and gives them 19 regular-season titles and an NCAA-leading 38 combined ACC championships. No other team in the ACC has more than four regular-season titles.

All American Jaysoni Beachum doubled in the first inning before being driven home on an Anna Hinde single. Bella Ruggiero walked and then scored from an RBI single by Kennedy Harp. Designated hitter Shelby McKenzie added another RBI single bringing home Ruggiero. Florida State was up 3-0 after the first inning.

The Noles didn't slow down in the second as Isa Torres, who has won multiple National Player of the Week honors this season, led the inning with a single. After a Beachum walk, Ashtyn Danley singled to score Torres. Hinde fouled out and Beachum was able to tag and score to push the Noles' lead to 5-0.

After multiple Nole players were walked in the fourth inning, FSU got another run from a Danley sacrifice fly that scored Torres. Beachum then walked with bases loaded to put the Noles up 7-0 after four innings.

FSU started the seventh inning with Beachum and Torres hitting back-to-back singles. Danley collected her third RBI of the game, scoring Torres on a fielder's choice to make it 8-0 after the top of the seventh inning. FSU would win the game 8-0.

Jaysoni Beachum went 3-for-3 and has now reached base in 42 consecutive games for the Noles. The All American has been named the No. 2 third baseman in the nation by Softball America.

The combination of Jazzy Francik, Ashtyn Danley and Bella Ruggiero combined to shut down the Eagles. BC did not record a hit in Game 3 until the fourth inning, and did not score a single run in this series. Nole pitchers all had no-hitters until at least the fourth inning of each game of the series.

Florida State will travel to Charlottesville, Virginia, for the ACC tournament as the No. 1 seed. The Noles, who have a first-round bye, will take on the winner of Notre Dame and Georgia Tech in the quarterfinals on Thursday at 11 a.m. ET.
