Florida State softball has won 14 games in a row. They now must prepare to face No. 2 Texas Tech, which has already defeated the Seminoles 3-2 earlier this season.

With dominant performances at the plate and on the mound the No. 10 Florida State Seminoles softball team completed the sweep of the Syracuse Orange by winning 11-6 on Sunday.

Their 14th consecutive win saw the Noles explode with multiple innings of four or more runs, including multiple batters hitting it over the fence.

The fans in the stands didn't have to wait long for the fireworks to start.

ACC Player Of the Week Isa Toress singled to center field in the first inning. Torres would later score when Jaysoni Beachum hit it where it could not be recovered, putting the Seminoles up 2-0 at the end of the first inning.

The bottom of the second inning saw Bella Regurio and Kennedy Harp each hit singles. Anna Hinde was hit by a pitch, which loaded the bases. Ashley Daley would then hit her first career grand slam, scoring all three runners.

The second inning ended with the Noles up 6-0.

Shelby McKenzie kept the scoring alive in the third inning with her second home run in as many days putting FSU up 7-0.

The Orange kept it close in the fourth as Syracuse would score two runs and see their own Jadyn Burney hit her second career grand slam to bring the score to 7-6, still in favor of the Noles.

Madi Frey would open the fifth inning scoring by plating a run after an error by the Orange. The Noles didn't let up in the fifth inning as Beachum would hit a double with bases loaded allowing three runners to score. This made the score 11-6, in favor of Florida State, after five innings.

Bella Dimitrijevic (2-0) got the start pitching 3.2 innings while striking out six.  Marlee Gaskell (2-0) received the win while pitching 0.1 innings. Jazzy Francik recorded the save pitching three innings while striking out four batters.

FSU scored 36 runs in this three game series. Beachum tied her career high with five RBI in this game. Beachum is now No. 10 on the FSU list with 33 home runs for her career. All-American Isa Torres has 24 hits in her last 27 plate appearances. Torres currently leads the nation with a batting average of .648.

The red-hot Seminoles haven't lost a game since its Feb. 21 defeat to No. 9 Alabama. They will now get ready to play No. 2 Texas Tech on Wednesday. In their previous game against the second-ranked team in the country the Noles lost a nail biter 3-2.
