Florida State is the walking wounded as they prepare to travel to take on the No. 3 Miami Hurricanes. The Seminoles will be without nine of their own, including LB Noah LaVallee. LaVallee was first listed as questionable, but later was downgraded to out.

As the Florida State Seminoles get ready for their road game against No. 3 Miami, the Seminoles will be without nine players.

In an injury report filed Friday with the ACC office, linebacker Noah LaVallee will sit out his fourth game of the season.

It was first thought he would be “questionable”. However, upon further review, LaVallee has been downgraded to “out.”

LaVallee has not played since the win over Central Arkansas. In that game, LaVallee recorded three tackles, one tackle for loss and two quarterback hurries.

The depth at linebacker takes yet another hit as the Seminoles are already paper thin at the position, with three other linebackers missing in action.

However, transfer Chris Jones has played outstanding this season at linebacker for Florida State.

The Hurricanes will be without six of their players. Combined, both teams will be without the services of 15 players.

Coming off a road loss at Louisville last week, Florida State has not won a road game since November 2023. Those losses are mounting, with the count now at 11 straight defeats as the visitors.

Florida State has not beaten Miami since the 2023 season. Throughout the history of this great rivalry, this game has been a violent street fight. More often than not, these games have been decided by a touchdown or less.

The Seminoles cannot afford to lose more players to injury. The depth chart already looks like a patient list in a hospital ward.

If Florida State can prevent the injury bug from showing its ugly face against Miami, then they may have a chance to maybe pull off an upset.

This will be the tenth meeting in the history of rivalry in which the Hurricanes are ranked in the top five. This series began in 1951, and these two teams have faced each other every season since 1969.

Florida State is a +21.5-point road underdog on Saturday night.
